The Fat White Family Champagne Holocaust
The Fat White Family Champagne Holocaust(Fat Possum / Trashmouth)
Here’s a British post-punk band whose raucous, unpredictable music and nature have made them a sensation in their homeland. Their lo-fi, lowbrow brand of rock is full of surprises: the second track “Is It Raining in Your Mouth?”, for example, is an ode to in-car oral pleasure that incorporates joyous-sounding holiday bells. “Wild American Prairie” is memorable as well, with a loud, driving country-rock sound.
