MANIC PRESENTS / PREMIER CONCERTS UPDATE 09-20-2018

We’ve had HUGE show announcements this week! Aziz Ansari will be doing a couple last minute popup shows at College Street Music Hall THIS TUESDAY 9/25. The early show at 7:00PM is sold out, but there are still some tickets available for the late show at 9:30PM!

Other just announced shows include Todd Rogers Benefit Show featuring The Pist, Mike & Ron from Spring Heeled Jack, World Game, The Redactions, and Ponybird (10/7), The Felice Brothers (11/23), and Old 97’s Holiday Extravaganza (12/12) at Space Ballroom with Paul Simon’s “Graceland” performed by The London African Gospel Choir on (2/21) at College Street Music Hall. Tickets for all shows go on sale this Friday at 10:00AM.

We have a packed week of shows starting TONIGHT (9/20) at Space Ballroom with Portland, Oregon metal band Red Fang who will team up with Big Business and Dead Now (ex-Torche); tomorrow (9/21) comedian Anthony Jeselnik comes to College Street Music Hall after a successful year of touring with Chris Rock; (9/23) Speak Up Storytelling presents “Now or Never” at Space Ballroom, the first of a new monthly storytelling series; later that night we have Mexican alternative rockers Café Tacvba (who are known to play arenas in their native country) stopping by College Street for an intimate show on (9/23).

This week’s Manic Monday(9/24) at Cafe Nine features classically trained cellist Helen Money who draws inspiration from artists such as Pablo Casals, Shostakovich, and even Jimi Hendrix and The Minutemen.

MANIC PRESENTS / PREMIER CONCERTS UPDATE 09-13-2018

Welcome to another addition of our weekly Redscroll blog! This week’s shows kick off on (9/13) with inventive and energized jam band quartet Perpetual Groove at Space Ballroom. They will be performing new and old tunes from their eclectic discography. Local act Eggy will be opening up the show!

Reggae legend Ziggy Marley will be spreading his music and positive vibes (9/15) at College Street Music Hall along with Steel Pulse bringing  your soul much warmth and praise.

For Manic Monday (9/17) at Cafe Nine, come out to see white-hot garageband Mystic Braves performing their blended influence and sound that is unprecedented in contemporary music.

Tuesday, (9/18) holds two amazing shows! First is an evening with Dawes, touring songs from their brand new album Passwords at College Street Music Hall. While garage rock heros Dinosaur Jr. will be performing a super intimate at Space Ballroom.

Just announced, Blue Oyster Cult Don’t Fear the Reaper Halloween Show (10/31) and The Wall Live Extravaganza (2/1) at Wall Street Theater! Tickets for both shows are on sale NOW!

Comedian Hari Kondabolu (‘The Problem with Apu’, Netflix ‘Warn Your Relatives’) plays a special show at Space Ballroom on Sunday, October 28th! Tickets on sale Friday at 10AM.

Alternative indie/folk band Houndmouth, will perform old song and songs off their recently released album Golden Age on (11/10) at College Street Music Hall. Get your tickets at manicpresents.com!

MANIC PRESENTS / PREMIER CONCERTS UPDATE 09-06-2018

Welcome to another addition of our weekly Redsrcoll blog! This week’s shows kick off on (9/9) with inventive and energized rock-trio E at Space Ballroom. They will be performing their explosive album, Negative Work, which was released this past May. Local acts Polluter and Nothing Israel will be opening up the show!

For Manic Monday (9/10) at Cafe Nine, come out to see psychedelic pop group Sugar Candy Mountain who has odes similar to those of Jacco Gardner and Tame Impala. Our new monthly comedy series Haha Hamden also kicks off (9/10) with Kathryn Gironimi along with other comedians at Space Ballroom. Tickets are only $5 and are available at the door.

GRAMMY® award-nominated Norwegian singer, songwriter, and producer Bernhoft comes to Space Ballroom on (9/11). New Orleans sludge group EYEHATEGOD will be performing at Space Ballroom on (9/12).  Legendary singer-songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Joan Baez comes to Shubert Theater to play her sold out show on (9/12).

Pop-punk band from New York, Cute Is What We Aim For, comes to Space Ballroom on (11/17). They have released two albums since they formed in 2005. You can get tickets for both shows starting (9/7) at 10am.

MANIC PRESENTS / PREMIER CONCERTS UPDATE 08-30-2018

This week we have a variety of shows, starting tonight (8/30) with Wolf Parade at Space Ballroom. They are back from their indefinite hiatus and ready to rock with their rousing anthems and killer guitar and vocals. Make sure to get tickets because they are almost sold out!

This week for Manic Monday (9/3) we’ve got the action-packed Labor Day Party at Cafe Nine with Pleasure Beach, Ourselves Alone, Tier, and Every Branch. It’s free with an RSVP, so be sure to come out for an awesome show! On Wednesday (9/5) American powerhouse vocal trio, Red Molly comes to Space Ballroom to play songs from their 2017 solo endeavors as well as all their classics. We’ve got another show on (9/5) at Cafe Nine with alternative/indie group, Ava Luna who is set to release their fourth record on (9/7).

Exciting news! Hippo Campus is playing at College Street Music Hall on (10/28). The Minnesota group formed in 2013 and had one of the most talked about performances at SXSW and quickly made their television debut on Conan. It’s a show you won’t want to miss!

Presence CT: Led Zeppelin Tribute is coming to rock-out at Space Ballroom on (11/24) with their spot-on renditions of some of Zeppelin’s finest work. Tickets go on sale this Friday (8/31) at 10am.

Just announced at Cafe Nine, Royston Langdon of Spacehog bring his new solo project, LEEDS, to New Haven on (11/26). His latest album, Everything’s Dandy, was released this past May and is a look into the past 24 years of his life in New York.

We have a great lineup of shows this week starting tonight (8/23) with New Orleans’ Sweet Crude at Space Ballroom! The six-piece band has taken the music and language of Louisiana to craft their own fresh sound. You don’t want to miss it!

This Saturday at Cafe Nine we’ve got indie garage-pop band Gringo Starr (8/25). Jumping back to Space BallroomSlaughter Beach, Dog (Jake Ewald of Modern Baseball) hits Hamden this Friday (8/24). Tickets are going fast for former Deep Purple bassist and singer Glenn Hughes’ show at Space Ballroom (8/26), so be sure to get yours soon!

LA lo-fi pop artist Michael Stasis makes his way to Cafe Nine for this week’s edition of our Manic Mondays music series with Pearl Sugar, and Dumlords (8/27)!

Lucinda Williams performs two shows in CT on her upcoming “Car Wheels on a Gravel Road” 20th Anniversary Tour at College Street Music Hall in New Haven (11/9) and at the Wall Street Theater in Norwalk (11/10).

In other exciting news, the legendary Bob Dylan comes to the Palace Theater in Waterbury (11/20)! Tickets go on sale this Friday(8/24) at 10am.

Just announced at Space Ballroom, Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis comes to Hamden with Luluc (12/9)!
