We have started a podcast!

The Redscroll Podcast is a monthly show (first of the month going forward) that works as a companion to what we do at Redscroll Records in Wallingford, CT USA. We are a record store that has a heavy emphasis on the left of center / underground music of the world. Whether it be underappreciated or just has a niche audience, marginalized or just off the radar it’s all of interest to us. With the show we’ll generally have a localized focus. We’ll discuss upcoming releases and what is in our personal rotation at the moment. We’ll talk about upcoming area musical activities. We’ll talk to guests who have to do with all of the above. Rick and Josh talk about their heavy summer listening and some upcoming records they feel are of note.

Ben Levesque of College Street Music Hall, Manic Presents & Premier Concerts is included in the initial conversation which includes his dealings with show production, promoting and all therein. The conversation veers in a few musical and personal story directions.

The initial conversation is wrapped up with a list of upcoming Connecticut area shows with some editorial notes by Ben, Rick & Josh.

Stefan Christensen (formerly of Estrogen Highs and numerous other bands) talks about his new solo record, his C/Site Recordings music label, the upcoming Headroom record, touring Europe and general goings on around all that as well as some veering off points of discussion concluding with a fun story about a nice hunch that led to a great record score. We conclude with a snippet of a song from his new record.
