Perfect Pussy I Have Lost All Desire For Feeling [Reissue]
Perfect Pussy I Have Lost All Desire For Feeling
(Captured Tracks)
This refreshingly boisterous noise-punk outfit from Syracuse, New York has finally gotten the chance to reissue their 2013 debut EP, originally self-released on cassette and now on CD and vinyl. Their music manages to be both a melodic and chaotic assault of white-hot guitar, clanging bass, soaring keyboards, crashing drums and lead vocalist Meredith Graves’ attitude-drenched screams all fighting to come out on top. Her empowered lyrics embrace a “what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger” attitude, thanking whoever it was that made the EP’s title ring true for Graves.

Apache Dropout Heavy Window
Apache Dropout Heavy Window
(Magnetic South)
Hailing from Bloomington, Indiana is this “lysergic bubblegum stomp” three-piece, with a surprisingly infectious garage-rock sound that sounds straight out of a 60s dive bar. The lo-fi production is perfectly fitting for their deliciously unrefined instrumentation. Vocalist Sonny Blood gets totally caught up in the atmosphere, whether howling or more reservedly singing to complement his coarse-sounding guitar, joining the fuzzy bass and steadily-stomping drums to complete the diesel-powered beast.
