Record Store Day Drop 3 Update (10/24/20 Releases)

Firstly we’ll go over again what our protocol is for tomorrow!

We are doing “curb-side” service – details here: http://redscrollrecords.com/2020/05/25th-of-may-2020-update-curbside-pick-up.html

Our shop will be closed for walk-in shopping. Appointment shopping will resume Monday – details on that here: http://redscrollrecords.com/2020/09/october-5th-start-appointment-shopping.html

Record Store Day this year has been split into three RSD DROPS which are happening/happened the last weekend of August, end of September and end of October. The LAST of those is tomorrow!

There will be no physical line so do not come to the store early to get in line.

The list of available RSD Drop 3 titles is below this explanation. Prices are included this year.

The virtual line started on Monday. Explanation of that in our last post here: http://redscrollrecords.com/2020/10/rsd-drop-3-virtual-line.html

If you are currently in the virtual line and you see that what you are looking for is not here and you’d like to get off the call list please let us know by replying to that email. If there’s any reason at all you’d like to give up your spot in line just email us. (redscroll@gmail.com)

You are still able to get in line, but keep in mind you will be added to the end of the line and it is a long one right now.

Records that are not claimed or picked up by 6PM tomorrow (RSD Drop 3 Day) will be listed online.

We look forward to talking to and seeing many of you tomorrow! In the parking lot, wearing a mask with you in your car.

Before the list we’d like to reiterate that these are uncertain times and 2 months ago when we placed the order for these records things were also uncertain so we did not go extremely heavy on ordering – certainly we didn’t order like we would have for a normally scheduled non-pandemic event day. That said, we hope we can please and fulfill the requests of a good deal of you all. And of course, as is the nature of these things, much of what we ordered didn’t make it in time so we’ll post about those as we receive them. And if you have a request for something please let us know next week with an email or phone call and we can check on its availability. All that said, here’s what we will have available… Continue reading Record Store Day Drop 3 Update (10/24/20 Releases)

October 5th: Start Appointment Shopping!

Starting on October 5th (one week from today) we will allow up to 3 people in the store at a time by appointment.

You can make an appointment here:
Redscroll Calendly Appointments

Curbside pick-up is still available and no appointment is necessary for that. Details on that here: http://redscrollrecords.com/2020/05/25th-of-may-2020-update-curbside-pick-up.html

You can book for a 30 minute session. If you’d like more time please do book 2 in a row. 1 hour is the maximum booking time at the moment.

You may bring 1 guest with you. If you are bringing a friend please let us know.

Additionally, if you do not see a time open that you can make please call the store. There still may be room for an additional person or 2 in booked times (if a booked time is not bringing a guest for instance). We will be tracking that separately.

When entering the store and during your time in the store you must always wear a mask in the proper way (covering your nose and mouth).

The store will be configured slightly differently than normal. The back room will be closed off to customers. Instead we will have a highlighted selection of back room records where the new releases normally are displayed.

Selling music to us will remain by appointment only and we will continue to do that in the back lot on the folding table. You can call us to make that type of appointment – (203) 265-7013.

We’re currently booking from October 5th until November 14th. We hope to have more announcements about further opening beyond that date.

Once again the link to make an appointment is:

RECORD STORE DAY DROP 1 UPDATE (8/28/2020)

RECORD STORE DAY DROP 1 UPDATE

Firstly we’ll go over again what our protocol is for tomorrow!

Our shop is still closed for walk-in shopping.

We are doing “curb-side” service – details here: http://redscrollrecords.com/2020/05/25th-of-may-2020-update-curbside-pick-up.html

Record Store Day this year has been split into three RSD DROPS which are happening the last weekend of August, end of September and end of October. The first of those is tomorrow!

First off, there will be no physical line so do not come to the store early to get in line.

The list of available RSD Drop 1 titles is below this explanation. Prices are included this year.

How to do RECORD STORE DAY Drop 1 with us / at Redscroll Records (virtually):

  1. Read the list of what we have available.
  2. Put your want list together. [1 per title per person]
  3. Wait until 10AM, Saturday (August 29th)and call us with your list. Keep calling until you get through. (203)265-7013 (CALL ONLY – NO EMAILS or Social Media Messages)
  4. Once you have talked to us on the phone you have made it through the virtual line and we will get you set with what we can at that point.
  5. Pick up is between 12-6PM. Please don’t come before 12PM. We are reserving the 10AM-12PM time to phone calls so we won’t be able to run orders out before 12PM. Pick up protocol can be found here.

We will only answer emails and social media messages once the phone calls have subsided so the best and most efficient way to get into our virtual line is by calling us until you get through (after 10AM on Saturday, August 29th).

Records that are not claimed or picked up by 6PM tomorrow (RSD Drop 1 Day) will be listed online then.

We look forward to talking to and seeing many of you tomorrow! In the parking lot, wearing a mask with you in your car.

RSD DROP DAY August 29th, 2020

Hope you all are doing well and staying safe out there.

The first of those is coming up quick on August 29th. We’ve been getting inquiries on how that is working here so let’s go over the procedure.

First off, there will be no physical line so do not come to the store early to get in line.

Next Friday, August 28th, we’ll post up our list of available RSD Drop 1 titles. We’ll post this explanation again then too. Prices will be included this year.

RSD items are allowed to go online at 1PM. We will assess what we have and how the day is going between calls/pick-ups before we start listing online. We will also announce widely when we start making things available for online sales. In the same regard, we will only answer emails and social media messages once the phone calls have subsided so the best and most efficient way to get into our virtual line is by calling us until you get through (after 10AM on Saturday, August 29th).

We look forward to talking to you all next week and seeing many of you on August 29th! In the parking lot, wearing a mask with you in your car.

24th of July Update: Label Highlights & Current Operations

We thought we’d take a moment to look at our releases from this year and last. These last months have halted all sort of social assembly of which music thrives on so it’s definitely been a difficult ride for bands. Take a moment with this and check ’em all out and consider buying directly from them via the links. We also have all of these available (some in more limited quantities) via our Big Cartel or Discogs shops.

Regarding our current operations, we have no plans to open up the shop to customers coming inside as it stands now. We will let folks know when that time comes. For now, the best way to keep up with us is by checking out our Discogs shop and/or following us on Instagram (you don’t need an account to view it) and Facebook.  We are also going to be running a contest through our Instagram (and we truthfully post the most on there) tonight so definitely give that a follow if you do have an account.
