Public Memory Demolition
(Felte)
Here’s the second full-length from this ghostly electronic project by Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and producer Robert Toher. Public Memory’s blend of krautrock, trip-hop and ambient makes for an eerily trippy, alien experience that still manages to feel oddly calm and resonant with a unique texture. “The Line” kicks off with a driving, head-bobbing beat and otherworldly synth to set an intriguing mood. “Red Rainbow” and “Doorstep” are some other favorites, transitioning between pulsing and ambient electronics well complemented by Toher’s spectral falsetto.
