Avant! Records now available at Redscroll
There is a better than good chance you have not heard of Avant! Records or its offerings. Well, let’s correct that. Avant! is a fine small label out of Italy up to its eighth release (more on that to follow). Music on the label tends to be dark and fuzzy (sometimes garage-like and sometimes folkish). The first four releases are all sold out, unfortunately. The latest four releases are all available in our store now.
[The following are the descriptions lifted right from the Avant! Distro Blog and mixed with some videos I’ve plundered from the netherweb.]
Cult Of Youth: Filthy Plumage In An Open Sea! 12’’ mLP
The third vinyl release from Brooklyn’s dark folk act contains a brighter and more focused side of Cult Of Youth that once again challenges the established boundaries of neofolk and post-industrial music.

Cccandy: Lonesome Berlin LP
Long time coming first LP. Cold wave, minimal synth, bedroom electronics on white vinyl, hand-silkscreend sleeves, insert with lyrics & artwork.
The Feeling Of Love: Waiting For The Cheerleaders To Get Drunk 7”
The Feeling Of Love is an actual trio now, synth came to stay and you can hear how it makes these two new songs sound more groovy than ever.
After their great double album on S-S, two darker and slower tracks without drums, only an analogue Casio beat to create a real cold-war feeling.
