RECORD STORE UPDATE! And 12th of April 2019 Regular Update

RECORD STORE DAY UPDATE! and 20th Of May 2018 Regular Update of New and Key Restocked Items
at Redscroll Records

In this update you will be able to read and get excited over the list of available items in our store for Record Store Day and then below that is our standard weekly update of new stock.

Skip ahead if you’ve been here before for Record Store Day and know the deal. For those that may be new or need a refresher here’s a quick guide:

Our hours on Record Store Day (April 13th, 2019) will be 8AM-8PM. If you are coming for Record Store Day specific titles there will be a line forming by our back door where we will be setting up the RSD Tent! For shopping our regular outstanding collection you should enter through the front door.

Please don’t park anywhere along the building as we like to practice a good neighbor policy with our building-mates and neighbor customers. There is plenty of parking along the backside of the lot and in public lots nearby (as shown in the map below).

This map shows where you should be able to park with ease. There is a free lot across the street from our front door (entrance besides the barber shop and also on the far side from off Center Street) and also across the train tracks from our back door (near Brothers Restaurant). There will be spots marked off for our RSD Tent (where the line will form – at the back door). Spots will also be specifically marked as designated for our neighbors (got to keep in good graces with them) – please heed these and be good!

Record Store Day is HUGE these days. Not just here, but everywhere.

Be aware, we are doing our best to keep things going as quick as is possible. We are doing our best to make your visit and possible long wait in line as comfortable (even pleasurable) as possible. We’ll have some light refreshments (drinks & snacks) to pass out when we arrive that morning (we usually arrive around 6AM) for those waiting in line.

If you plan to stand in line for releases please plan accordingly. If you are in line please have friends/neighbors (we’re all friends here, right?) near you keep your spot to go to a donut shop, local purveyor, what-have-you to get a snack/breakfast and/or use the bathroom (use the honor system with respect and DO NOT hold spots for people that are not there yet [your friend arriving later must line up in the back]). Once you see any of us here (we should be there around 6AM) and you need to use the bathroom let us know and we’ll help you out. Check the weather – dress appropriately! We are expecting some rain so if you wish to set up a canopy tent or set up a tarp please do! And of course, as stated just earlier in this paragraph just practice common courtesy and general friendliness and good sportsmanship by keeping track of where each other are in line (by when each of you has shown up) and take cover in your car if need be. We genuinely want you all in good health!

RSD Quantity Disclaimer: As much as we’d like to have every possible thing on hand in quantities exactly matching the demand it just can’t work that way. We order a tremendous amount as do many other stores. We are allocated certain amounts of things and ultimately we get a lot because we put in the leg work. That said, we get less than we order and in some cases we miss out on items completely (trust us, it’s not purposeful by any stretch). We want everyone to be happy in the end so be excellent to each other.

Goodie bags will be available for the first odd number of folks to check out. (We have some nice totes beyond the initial goodie bags that will inevitably run out as well.)
