Dissolve are Hudson Valley Hardcore legends. They led the way with their off-kilter-metal influenced brand of in your face admonishing pummeling sounds. Their first demo was released in 1993 and it took decades for the world around them to catch up to their sound.
OUT NOW! The long overdue pressing of “Caveman of the Future” by Dissolve!
Caveman of the Future was recorded in 2000 (originally set for a release on MIA records which folded in on itself by the set August 2000 release date) and lost to time. It resurfaced in 2008 and made its way onto CD (Trip Machine Laboratories). The story is more fully documented on the comprehensive inner booklet. And now, finally, decades later it is available on vinyl.
We couldn’t be more excited about getting it in folks’ hands. A one time limited edition of 300 copies on cover matching splatter vinyl (some more opaque and some more translucent; random).

Redscroll Records presents its very first jazz release!
Via Nicholas Serrambana: Trance Macabreis grateful for the opportunity to release their first vinyl statement with Redscroll Records. One track is available now onBandcamp along with digital and vinyl pre-order. Composer and bandleader Nicholas Serrambana plays fretless bass while joined by the ever urgent Wes Lewis on saxophone, the insightful Vigilance Brandon on brass, the uncanny Michael Larocca on drums, flute sorceress Autumn Asbridge, and Connecticut jazz pedagogue extraordinaire Noah Baerman on synth.
Vinyl comes out this Friday July 5.
This sextet reinvigorates the disenfranchised jazz fan through a punk theatricality and invites non-jazz listeners to enter the music without the dogma of genre. Though Trance Macabre presents compositions here, the presence of free improvisation is integral. Each of the four pieces here stretches out to prog rock lengths, but with both ample melodies and unscripted plateaus throughout. Those who are drawn in by the dissonant onset of the first song may find themselves surprised to discover the lyrical ballad that concludes side B. This record is for people who dare to recognize the singable in Cecil Taylor.
