The Kidnapped “Collected Works 2017-2019” LP came out this past Friday and this coming Friday brings us to the record release show! We’re stoked on the record and stoked on this gig!
New Online Store | New Shirt! | New Releases: Kidnapped LP & Phemale Cassette
Rolling out a new web store – specifically for Redscroll Records merchandise. We’ve got our most recent releases up for sale there as well as shirts, stickers and whatever ephemera we currently have available for the shop/label.
We are releasing a cassette version of Phemale, “Mono No Aware Pt. 1” and it comes out on July 19th! Next Friday! It is a very limited release of just 25 tapes so you’ll want to hop on this one. The “City Silk” release on LP we did with Phemale in 2013 still gets a steady play here and we’re super stoked to be able to do this one!
As opposed to “City Silk” this one (Mono) is without vocals and is a soundtrack component to a short film (if you came to the sold out Boy Harsher show at State House you got a viewing of it). If you’re familiar with the theatrical aspect of the Phemale live show the next step in his metamorphosis into a beautiful lunar moth is here (ok, I might be reaching now, but you get it).
Still very much in the cold wave minimal style with leanings toward other otherworldly beat-makers and still very compelling and begging for a re-listen often.
We’re excited to let y’all know our next release is from post-punkers Reduction Plan! It will be out September 20th on vinyl from us and on cassette from Dune Altar. Pre-orders to go up mid-August.

We’re always trying to think of new fun things to do for Redscroll merch. It turns out we’ve never done a Redscroll patch! We can’t say that now. With the Earth design / logo we’ve been using since our Tenth Anniversary (almost 2 years ago now) being an easily adaptable patch it seemed like common sense.
It is a 4 inch square design. It has an iron-on backing should you prefer to do that rather than sew it (or double down and do both!).
