Hello and welcome back to Manic Presents’ weekly Redscroll Blog! As always, we’re here to update you with newly announced shows and upcoming events for the week. Monday, we announced They Might Be Giants’ 30th Anniversary Flood Show at Space Ballroom – where the band will be performing the internationally popular album in its entirety on Thursday (2/6/20). Tickets for this concert are on sale NOW at our website and on Eventbrite. Also coming to Space Ballroom on Thursday, (3/26/20) is the indie band with a cult-like following, Murder By Death – who will be playing setlists that are curated by their fans, including songs from all eight albums in their catalog. Tickets for this show will be on sale Friday, (10/4) and details for those can be found on our website!
If you find yourself in Hamden any night this weekend, make sure to come to Space Ballroom for a great show! Tonight (10/3), NYC dream pop band Luna and psych-folk band Olden Yolk will be playing the Ballroom stage. Tomorrow night (10/4), stop by Space Ballroom to see the indie pop husband and wife duo Mates of State while they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘My Solo Project’ along with folk band Goodnight Blue Moon. Finally, on Saturday (10/5), psych-rock band Psychedelic Porn Crumpets from Perth, Australia are touring with garage rock band Meatbodies and will be bringing the noise to Space Ballroom with local New Haven two-piece Tate & Silas. After taking a short Sunday break, we’re back to the grind on Monday night (10/7) with Cafe Nine’s Manic Monday event which is being taken over by the south, featuring alternative rock band Walden, hailing from Athens, GA and hip-hop artist TAME, The Aspiring Me from Houston, TX with support from Connecticut singer-songwriter, RØY & the Echoes. Next Tuesday (10/8) at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, multigenre band Lake Street Dive will bring the sounds of 60s R&B, pop, and rock to the stage and are being joined by dazzling singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham. Last but not least, iconic 80s rock band, Melvins, are touring the re-release of their classic record “10 Songs,” and are ripping up the stage at Space Ballroom following classic punk band Redd Kross, and Japanese noise artist, Toshi Kasai next Wednesday, (10/9).
